Don't get me wrong. We are not talking autumnal chill here. I still can't bear the thought of long trousers but temperatures are down a significant 3 or 4 degrees to 29. And it's quite pleasant.
The other day as I walked past, next door's maids were using hair dryers to dry the freshly washed, long-haired, white dog which lies elegantly behind glass in the air-conditioned interior of our neighbour's home. He is a Samoyed, a breed used originally for herding reindeer and pulling sledges. The obvious choice for Hong Kong.
